What a great time we all had up in Canada! If you did not go, you
missed
the adventure of a lifetime!
Now that our voyage is complete for 2010, it is time to clean up the
gear and fix anything that was damaged over the course of two trips.
With this in mind, we will be having a work day Thursday, August
19th
from
7-9PM for all those who went on the second trip (Group B).
Then on Saturday, August 21st from 8-4PM, there will be a work day
for
all Canoe Trails members. If there are any questions, please post them
on the
forum.

- 15 July, 2010
Added August 1st--8AM to 4PM--for the second trip pack-up. Make
plans
to be there if you are going on the second trip.

- 02 July, 2010
For all adults going to Canada this year, you must make plans to
attend this
Thursday's meeting at the Barn. Please check the CT
Forum for
additional information.
On another note, HAPPY Fourth of July! Thank you to all the
service
men and woman out there for our freedom!
- 17 June, 2010
What a weekend at Tionesta! There is nothing like seeing thirteen
canoes
going down a lake with its participants ready to conquer the
next
bend. Though it was warm, many smiles and a lot of learning was to
be
had this past weekend. If you missed it, you should be kicking
yourself. Make plans now to attend the upcoming June
25th-27th trip. There is word the food, view, company, and events
will be nothing short of 5 star!
Also! As a friendly reminder. The CT forum is THE best way to
be
informed of current events, times, and deadlines for anything
and everything Canoe Trails. So quit being shy and start posting!
The only stupid question, is one that is never asked.

- 31 May, 2010
If you know a past or present military member, please be sure to
take some time today and thank them for your freedom. Without
these folks, America would not be the greatest nation in the world!

- 20 April, 2010
A few reminders for everyone.
Swim tests are currently in progress. The remaining days are
April 21st &
28th. The swim test is mandatory.
Thank you to all those who participated at the Maple Syrup
Festival! It turned out to be two great days of sun and
entertainment.
For those who did not show up this past Saturday, you
missed a great time. Simply put, this year is going to be
awesome!
Lastly, the Events Schedule stated that the 2nd Canadian trip
started on August 7th. This is incorrect. The second trip actually
starts on August 6th, with everyone in the 2nd group traveling
up to Canada that day.
If you have any questions, be sure to check out the forums!

What a great set of
orientations! 2010 is going to be a very
exciting year for many. If you missed the two offered
orientations, do not lose hope! Just show up at the barn
any Thursday evening during a work night or jump on the CT
forum and post a message stating your interest.
In the effort to get everyone excited, there are a few
updates to the website:
The 2010 adult consent form is now posted.
The 2010 youth consent form is now posted.
The 2010 Canoe Trails code of conduct is
now posted.
The 2009 Canoe Trails Adventure web page
is live.
Though it does not have the trip log at the moment,
we do have a very famous rap song!
Mr. Kennedy sent in a story on how to paddle
across
the Panama Canal. Original author is Phil Shapiro.
Swim dates are getting close! They are April 7th, 14th, 21st, &
28th.
Chose a date and get your necessary swim test out of the way.
Lastly, do not forget that this weekend, April 10th and 11th,
the Maple Syrup Festival will be taking place. Jump on the
Canoe
Trails Forum
and post if you plan on helping out.
Your help would be
greatly appreciated and needed!

With 2009 now officially over, it can mean only one
thing. We have 8 months before we go to Canada!
Before we go to Canada though, there are two trips to
Tionesta and many fun evenings at the barn.
Its time to start thinking spring yall! ;)
For those who have shown up for the winter campout
meetings, get ready for some fun. Its going to be a
blast! If you were unable to attend the upcoming
weekend or trainings held thus far, why not stop by
the barn on Thursday January 7th around 7pm. See
how CT prepares for winter camping.
