General Information:
The Venture
Crew #488 program and the affiliated program Canoe Trails all
encompassing legal information and privacy policy is designed to help one understand
how data
is collected and used by the afore mentioned entities. The legal and privacy
policies also apply to
data distributed between the Venture Crew #488 program, the
affiliated Canoe Trails web server and
the user’s computer system.
By using or accessing the Venture Crew
#488’s affiliated Canoe Trails website in any
form, you are accepting the practices described herein.
The Information Collected:
When you visit the Venture Crew #488’s
program and the affiliated Canoe Trails website,
you may provide us with two types of information. The first pertains to any
personal
information you knowingly choose to disclose within forums, email, or any other service
or
webpage on the Canoe Trails website that gives you the ability to interact.
The second relates to web server statistics that
the canoetrails.us web server collects.

visitors and members. While the Venture Crew #488 program and the affiliated Canoe
Trails
program will make every attempt to maintain an environment for youth and adults
alike, the
aforementioned programs cannot guarantee non Canoe Trails content being
acceptable to all ages. If
content located on the Canoe Trails website or forum is deemed
as offensive, please contact the Canoe
Trails administration immediately at
webmaster@canoetrails.us.
Please note that even
after removal of data from the Canoe Trails website and any
services
offered, copies of user content or data may remain viewable in cached and
archived
pages indefinitely.
Online information you
submit to the Venture Crew #488 program and the affiliated
Canoe Trails program and its subsidiary services may be available to all visitors--both
human and technical. Your profile name, profile picture, account(s), email(s), etcetera
may be
visible to any individual that does a basic Internet search. While the Venture
Crew #488 program and the
affiliated Canoe Trails program will make every attempt to
keep the services it offers secure, you
agree to not hold the Venture Crew #488 program
and the affiliated Canoe Trails program, the Boy
Scouts of America, and any other
organization participating with Canoe Trails liable for any loss
of data, both personal
and non-personal, when accessing or utilizing Canoe Trails online services.
Children Age 13 and Under:
The Venture Crew #488 program
and the affiliated Canoe Trails program and
its
subsidiary services do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from
anyone 13
years old and younger. If you are 13 years old or younger, please do not
attempt to register for any
service or send any information about yourself, of which
includes your name, address,
telephone number, or email address, without parental or
legal guardian consent. In the event that the
Venture Crew #488 program and the
affiliated Canoe Trails program learn that we have inadvertently
collected personal
information from a child age 13 or younger without parental or legal
guardian consent,
we will delete collected information as quickly as possible, excluding web server
statistics/records. Though the Canoe Trails administrators will remove the data from the
canoetrails.us
web server and any subsidiary services offered, we do not guarantee that
it will not be
viewable by other means not associated with Canoe Trails. If you believe
that we might have any
information from or about a child under age 13, please contact
us at canoetrails@canoetrails.us.
Children
between the Ages of 13 to 18:
The Venture Crew #488 program and the affiliated Canoe Trails program
recommends
that minors over the age of 13 and younger than 18 ask their parents for permission
before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet, including
the
Canoe Trails website and its subsidiary services. It is also requested that anyone
under the age of 18
not give or use any type of personal information that another could
discover ones true identity or
location.
The Venture Crew #488 program and the affiliated
Canoe Trails program will NEVER send
an email, post a message, or send a private message asking for personal information
including age, gender, location, email address, social networking identification,
password(s),
and phone number(s). Please note that this list is constantly evolving and
is not all inclusive as to
what one could or should not post or send to another on the
Internet.
Please refer to your parent(s) or legal guardian(s) for any questions pertaining to
information that is safe to post on the World Wide Web.
Right
to Revise:
The Venture Crew #488 program and the affiliated
Canoe Trails program maintain the
right to change and alter any regulations or wording within the legal information and
privacy policy documentation herein at any point in time without future notification.

Reference to any specific commercial products,
processes, or services by trade name,
trademark, manufacturer, or otherwise, does not constitute or imply the endorsement,
recommendation, or favoring by the Venture Crew #488 program and the affiliated Canoe
Trails
program, the Canoe Trails website and its members, the Boy Scouts of America, or
any other
organization participating with Canoe Trails. All proper copy rights, names, or
trademarks belong to
their respective owners.
Law
Enforcement Action:
The Venture Crew #488 program and the affiliated Canoe Trails program will
cooperate
fully with any law enforcement member when approached for any criminal activity
taking place on the Canoe Trails website or any subsidiary service offered by the
program. The Canoe
Trails administration will turn over any requested data to law
enforcement without the need for
a search warrant or approval by the member(s) in
question.
